Preparation

  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 5 Cloves
  • 4 Cardamom pod

Start by gently crushing the cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom pods in a mortar. This will release their full flavours into the tea.

  • 3 tsp Black tea
  • 1 slice dried apple
  • 1 piece dried orange peel
  • 1 pinch Vanilla powder
2

In a bowl, mix the crushed spices with the tea, dried apple, and orange peel. Add the vanilla powder and combine everything thoroughly.

  • 250 ml Water
3

Place 2 teaspoons of the mixture into an infuser, pour over 250 ml of boiling water, and let it steep for 5–7 minutes, depending on your taste preference.

4

Pour the brewed tea into a cup. Add a touch of honey or sugar if desired. For a calorie-free sweetener, try stevia. Sit back and enjoy your homemade Christmas tea – ideal for warming up on chilly winter days!

Tips and Variations

  • For a fruitier note, consider adding dried cranberries or raisins. Feel free to experiment to match your personal taste!
