A matcha bowl, or chawan in Japanese, is a wide, round bowl in which you whisk matcha, froth it and drink straight from it. Its shape gives the bamboo whisk enough room to create fast, fine foam. It's the heart of every matcha ritual – and has been for centuries.
The wide shape of a matcha bowl lets you move the whisk freely in M-motions, so your matcha turns creamy and lump-free. A regular cup simply doesn't give you the room. And since you drink straight from the bowl, every sip becomes a mindful moment.
